We expect about 525 riders and 100–150 volunteers. Volunteers do not have a fundraising requirement.

• Day 1: Los Angeles → Basecamp at Lake Skinner (~100 miles, 5,000 ft. elevation)
• Day 2: 20, 50, or 100 miles from Basecamp
• Day 3: Basecamp → San Diego (~85 miles, 3,700 ft. elevation)

Generally mild and sunny. Expect daytime temperatures in the 70s–80s, cooler mornings and evenings, with low chances of rain. Layered clothing is recommended, especially for coastal and mountain sections.

Full programming, including evening and morning activities, will be shared as we get closer to the event.

Riders must raise $2,500 by April 10, 2026. If the minimum isn’t met, the remaining balance will be automatically charged unless you notify us prior to 11:59PM PT on April 10, 2026 that you do not intend to ride. Volunteers do not have a fundraising minimum.

We set the $2,500 minimum after thoughtful consideration of both industry standards and community impact. For context, AIDS/LifeCycle’s $3,500 minimum for a seven-day event was actually below the industry standard for fully supported rides of that scale. Our research showed that $2,500 is consistent for a three-day, fully supported cycling event like Center Ride Out. But this decision isn’t just about logistics—it’s about purpose. This is a fundraising ride, and LGBTQ+ people need support now more than ever. The Los Angeles LGBT Center has lost over $9 million in federal funding, putting essential programs and services at risk. As the largest LGBTQ+ direct service provider in the world, the Center depends on community-driven fundraising to continue offering life-saving care. The average AIDS/LifeCycle participant raised over $6,000, proving what’s possible when we ride together for a cause we believe in. We’re counting on that same passion and commitment to help ensure the Center’s vital work not only continues—but thrives. A special medal, public recognition, and a surprise prize! Fundraising totals will be finalized by 11:59 PM PT on April 23, 2026.

No. All funds raised are non-transferable.

Funds cannot be rolled over to a future year or refunded. Every dollar raised continues to support the Center.

Funds already raised remain with the Center to support essential programs.

All participants will receive 3 daily meals, unlimited snacks and beverages, access to portable toilets and showers, two-person tents, access to a team of medical professionals, bike tech, and other support required to complete a 3-day endurance event.

Complete a volunteer interest form to help us gauge interest and shape volunteer roles. Volunteer registration likely opens November 2025.

Participants are responsible for booking their own flights and travel. Suggested arrival and departure times, packing lists, and transportation options will be shared well in advance.

We’re still finalizing details, but we know travel planning matters. Our goal is to make check-in and orientation simple and flexible.  More details will be shared in January 2026 so you’ll have plenty of time to plan.

Yes! Riders and volunteers of all backgrounds are welcome: BIPOC, TGNBI+, women/femmes, straight allies, and those unsure if they can physically ride or meet fundraising goals. Our Community Fund exists as a way to allocate mini grants to riders to help everyone achieve their fundraising goals.

Bikes must follow California vehicle rules—signal when turning, stop at stop signs, ride single file, call out hazards, and avoid headphones*.

*However, there is an exception for riders who are hard of hearing and use a prosthetic device that aids hearing. Ride safely, support each other, and enjoy the journey together!
